Qi Gong is a form of Chinese therapeutic exercise based upon the principles of Chinese medicine. The same principles used in acupuncture are used in Qi Gong. In place of needles you are using your breath, movement and intent. When you are practicing Qi Gong you are essentially doing a form of medicine on yourself.
